Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was possibly killed in Israeli operation

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar may have been killed in an Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip, according to Israel’s foreign minister. The military said it was investigating whether Sinwar was among three militants killed during a targeted ground operation in Rafah.

While the Israeli army said there were no signs of Israeli hostages being present at the site of the strike, they are conducting DNA tests to confirm the identities of those killed.

Al-Majd, a Hamas-affiliated website, urged the public to wait for official updates from the group rather than relying on Israeli media reports.

Israeli Army Radio suggested that Sinwar was likely one of those killed in the operation, though confirmation is still pending.
