Police looking for witnesses after a fatal collision killed elderly man in Edmonton

An 85-year-old man has died following a collision in Edmonton, and police are looking for witnesses to the incident. The man was struck by a car while crossing at the intersection of 114th Avenue and 134th Street in his wheelchair around 2 PM on October 21st.

According to Edmonton police, the driver was traveling east on 114th Avenue when they hit the man, who was thrown from his wheelchair as a result. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he passed away on Monday.

Details about the driver have not been released, but officers remained on the scene following the crash. Investigators have not commented on whether impairment, speed, or sun glare played a role in the incident. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
