Biden to host Trump at white house for handoff

U.S. President Joe Biden welcomed former president Donald Trump to the White House today as part of a long-standing tradition to facilitate the peaceful transfer of power. The president-elect was joined by billionaire businessman Elon Musk.

Trump is expected to hold meetings with congressional Republicans to outline his administration’s key Day 1 priorities. Neither Trump or Biden answered questions from the media after their brief remarks. Trump has not said if he will visit the senate.
