RCMP seize guns and drugs from organized crime group linked to the Mexican cartel

The RCMP’s federal police say they arrested three men in B.C. for being allegedly being a part of a transnational organized crime group that is supposedly connected to Mexican drug cartels and is importing cocaine into Canada.

According to a news release from today, part of the enforcement was a raid on their heavily fortified head quarters in Surrey back in September. Investigators said that the residence was surrounded by compound fencing, steel gates and razor wires. The entry doors were fully covered by metal shutters and both the interior and exterior of the residence was equipped with video and audio monitoring systems.

Police seized 23 firearms, including handguns, assault rifles, shotguns and hunting rifles; several thousand and multi kilos of fentanyl, methamphetamine, ketamine and other opioids… 15,000 of dollars in cash and apparel used by law enforcement

Charges have not been laid yet, but are being pursued.
