Snowfall warning in effect for Alberta’s Industrial Heartland

Dig out your shovels and toboggans: Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for most of Central and Southern Alberta including Fort Saskatchewan, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Sturgeon County, Strathcona County, Lamont County, and the City of Edmonton.  Snowfall will begin Friday evening and intensify Saturday morning.  Expect accumulations of 15 to 25 cm.

It won’t be particularly pleasant for the dig-out on Sunday with a high of -13, and after a brief warm-up to normal on Tuesday, it’s back to below normal for the later half of next week.
