On January 30th, the Dow Centre in Fort Saskatchewan is holding the Industrial Heartland Career Forum. This event is completely free as long as you RSVP. The event showcases possible career opportunities in the Trades for students and experienced professionals alike. Whether you want an idea of a career best tailored to you, or you want to brush up and advance in your profession, this event has tons of advice, demonstrations, and guest speakers to further improve Alberta’s workforce.
The event has two parts:
- The Student session from noon till 2:30 p.m.
- This part of the Forum is tailored to grade 11 and 12 students who are interested in a career in the Trades. There is a mixture of presentations and guest speaking. Students will be able to ask seasoned professionals questions!
- The Re-skill session is from 4:30 till 7:00 p.m.
- The re-skill session is focussed on professionals looking to enhance or transition in their careers. Attendees will have their questions answered on what types of career opportunities are available and what training is needed.
