Oilers were leading the Pacific Division for the first time since 2021

The 3-2 win on Saturday meant the Oilers passed the Golden Knights for first place of the Pacific Division. The game against the Buffalo’s on Saturday was intense. Stuart Skinner was the star of the show, blocking 39 of the 41 shots on net. The Golden Knights took that title back the very next day after a win against the Florida Panthers. The Oilers know not to get their hopes up, aware of the fact that there are still 33 games left. “We have just over a third of the year left;” quoted Hyman. “We can’t look at the standings yet.”

A win tonight at Roger’s Place against the Seattle Kraken would be just enough to put them back on top.
