A major drug investigation by the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP has led to the seizure of large quantities of narcotics, illegal tobacco, and cash after search warrants were executed on two local properties.
The investigation began in April 2025, targeting two individuals suspected of trafficking drugs in the community. On May 29, officers arrested one suspect and searched homes on Durrand Bend and Roseberry Lane.
The operation resulted in a significant haul: over $66,000 in Canadian currency, 68 cartons of illicit cigarettes and cigars, and a range of illegal drugs including 300 grams of cocaine, 350 grams of MDMA, 1.6 pounds of psilocybin, 728 doses of LSD, six pounds of dried marijuana, and two pounds of hashish. Officers also found smaller quantities of GHB, cannabis derivatives, and other controlled substances.

Two individuals face multiple charges, though their identities have not been released pending the swearing of charges. Both have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Fort Saskatchewan on July 10, 2025.
“Your Fort Saskatchewan RCMP has a number of highly trained and specialized units in place to combat criminal activity in our communities,” said Staff Sergeant Scott Lande, Acting Detachment Commander. “Results like this only come from the dedicated execution of well-informed planning, intelligence-led policing, and the hard work of good people.”
RCMP encourage anyone with concerns about suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods to call 310-RCMP (7267).
