EPS: Armed robbery suspect turns self in

A suspect in a pair of armed robberies in Edmonton has turned himself in.

Gage Rader, 19-years-old, surrendered to authorities as surveillance footage of Rader reportedly commiting an armed robbery were distributed to the media.

These two robberies happened on September 11 and September 13, and were in the area of 118th Avenue at two different convenience stores.

The suspects aggressive behaviour had police concerned as they believed it could escalate to a more violent event.

Rader is now facing two charges of robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and one count of breaching conditions in connection to another alleged robbery back in May.
