A local teen is dead after a crash in the West Edmonton Mall parkade in late September.
According to Edmonton police, the teen was standing through the sunroof of a car that struck a concrete beam in the parkade.
Paramedics took the teen, 18-year-old Mohammad Almosleh, to hospital where he died from his injuries.
According to police, speed and impairment were not factors in the crash.
The teen, whose father owned the 100 Avenue Convenience Store, was often seen at the store behind the till.
The family came to Canada back in 2016 as refugees from Syria and just recently became full Canadian citizens.
The store has closed as the family deals with the loss of Mohammad.
