Two charged in St. Albert vehicle theft

Two people have been arrested and charged following a vehicle theft in St. Albert earlier this month.

In the early hours of December 6, police received reports of a Subaru Impreza that was stolen from Vandelor Road. It was reported that a white GMC truck was involved.

A short time later, officers found both vehicles speeding down St. Albert Trail. These officers also observed the Subaru and the GMC crash into each other before coming to a stop.

Officers arrested a male suspect who was in the stolen Subaru, while the other suspect had to be tracked down by Edmonton police, including their Air 1 helicopter.

Amanda Coles, 32, was charged with:

  • Theft of a motor vehicle
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Dangerous driving
  • Fail to remain at the scene of an accident
  • Theft Forgery of a credit card
  • Possession of a controlled substance

Coles was released from custody with her court date set for January 8.

Bryan Ventura, 33, was charged with:

  • Theft of a motor vehicle
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Dangerous driving
  • Possession of break in tools
  • Theft Forgery of a credit card
  • Mischief
  • Possession of a controlled substance

Venture was remanded in custody and will be going to court on December 11.
