Strathcona County recruiting full-time firefighters and paramedics

At the start of the month Strathcona County opened up the application process for new full-time firefighters and paramedics.

In late February the county held a recruitment information day where residents were able to get close with local emergency services and experience the activities required during the physical exam.

However, those who missed the event will still be able to learn more through a virtual information session on Thursday.

“Dedicated teams of emergency services professionals save lives and protect property by responding quickly and effectively,” the county wrote on their website. “If you thrive on teamwork, love a diverse job, want to help those in need, and have the desire to contribute to your community, consider a career as a firefighter/paramedic.”

Those interested in attending the event will need to sign up for the virtual session, which you can do on the Strathcona County website. There’s also the opportunity to view recordings of sessions held on previous years.

Applications for firefighters and paramedics in the county ends on March 31.
