Strathcona County RCMP have charged two people for allegedly trying to defraud a car dealership.
Earlier this month it was reported to police that a man and woman tried to purchase a $90,000 vehicle from a local dealership while allegedly using fake identities and forged signatures.
Noticing contradictions in the documents they were provided; the dealership called the police. Officers arrived at the dealership where the male suspect gave a fake name to police, which prompted both suspects to get arrested.
Kimberly Dick, a 26-year-old from Edmonton, and Patrick Durand, a 28-year-old from St. Albert, have both been charged with fraud over $5,000.
Dick was released from custody and will be appearing in court next month, while Durand remained in custody with his court date happening last week.
