Certain Fort McMurray neighbourhoods have been issued a two-hour evacuation notice on Tuesday afternoon.

This notice applies to the neighbourhoods of Prairie Creek, Abasand, Grayling Terrace, Beacon Hill, with residents being asked to prepare to leave within two hours.

Although Highway 63 remains open, officials say that police would be monitoring the wildfire and will give an update when needed.
