Police looking to identify suspects in string of Edmonton robberies

EPS is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects in a string of robberies in June 2023.

On June 4, 2023, at approximately 12:45am, there was a robbery at a liquor store near Daniels Way SW and Desrochers Gate SW. Police say two male suspects and a female suspect were reportedly involved in the incident where cash and liquor were stolen. The suspects fled in a maroon-coloured Chevrolet SUV. Later that same day, at approximately 11:45pm, there was an attempted robbery at a gas station convenience store near 108 Street and 82 Avenue involving the same suspects.

On June 16 and 17, 2023, at approximately 11:45pm, three suspects approached the locked exterior door of a liquor store located in the area of 69 Avenue and 109 Street. They stood outside and attempted to gain entry to the store but were unsuccessful, so they fled the area. A short time later, after midnight on Saturday, June 17, 2023, the same suspects entered a liquor store in the area of Desrochers Gate and Daniels Way in southwest Edmonton. One of the male suspects damaged a display on the counter and demanded cash from staff while the other male and female suspect stole liquor.

One of the suspects was armed with a crowbar and another with a handgun. The suspects fled the store with some items, making their escape in a dark green Hyundai Kona SUV.

“Although these incidents occurred some time ago, we have now connected all three suspects to several robberies around the city,” says Det. Michael Walkom of the EPS Robbery Section. “We are confident that someone out there knows the identities of these suspects, and we are hopeful someone will contact police.”

Anyone who has information about the identities of the suspects is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250
