Edmonton Police investigating ‘suspicious death’

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating suspicious death that happened in the city on Tuesday morning.

Officers report that at about 2 a.m. they were called to a weapons complaint at an apartment building in the area of 83 Avenue and 101 Street in the southwest portion of the city.

Upon arriving, a man was found with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.

The EPS Homicide Section has taken over the investigation and an autopsy is expected to be scheduled.
