Human remains found outside of Grande Prairie

Alberta RCMP say human remains have been found just northwest of Grande Prairie.

Officers responded to a call around 1:40 p.m. on Monday regarding the discovery of a body. RCMP have confirmed the remains are those of a woman, though her identity has not yet been determined.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place today to establish the cause of death.

Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage from the area of 116th Street, between 104th Avenue and 132nd Avenue, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday to contact RCMP as they continue their investigation.
