Passenger dead after head-on collision south of Westlock

A passenger was killed in a head-on collision south of Westlock on Wednesday evening, when a 16 year old’s car crossed the centre line before it struck another vehicle head on 

RCMP believe the teen was headed south on Highway 44 when the collision occurred at around 5:30 P.M. near Highway 651

The passenger in the northbound vehicle, a 75-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 49-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries but is expected to recover. The 16-year-old driver’s injuries were also reported as non-life-threatening.
