Former Fort Ranger ends season after injury

Former Fort Sask Ranger Kirby Dach has ended his season early.

Dach was dealt a significant injury on Saturday in a game against the Chicago Blackhawks, when defenseman Jarred Tinordi hit Dach into the Chicago bench during first period.

The Montreal Canadiens, Dach’s team, says that they are still working to diagnose the injury. However, Dach will not be returning to play this season.

The Canadiens still won the game with a score of 3-2.

Dach was selected by Chicago with 3rd pick in the 2019 NHL Draft before being traded to Montreal in 2022.

Dach was born in Fort Saskatchewan and played with the Fort Rangers for two seasons between 2015 and 2017.
