STARS Air Ambulance takes child to hospital in Leduc crash

Leduc RCMP has given an update on the crash that happened on Highway 2A on Thursday (Feb. 22).

At around 10:40 a.m., police received reports of a two-vehicle collision where a tanker truck rear-ended an SUV.

The driver of the tanker, a 74-year-old resident of Leduc County, was assessed by emergency services on the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with injuries. The passenger, a child, was taken to hospital via STARS air ambulance.

The RCMP is still investigating the cause of the crash.
