Orchid Society of Alberta hosts fair in St. Albert

The 44th annual Orchid Fair returns to St. Albert this weekend.

Starting on Friday at the Enjoy Centre, this fair features over 15,000 square feet of all things orchid. The event also features an awards ceremony and art exhibition, hosted by the Orchid Society of Alberta.

“Orchid enthusiasts will find hundreds of orchids of every shape, size, and color, from the rare to the truly unusual from local vendors and those as far as Taiwan and Ecuador,” wrote the society on the City of St. Albert website. “Hands-on potting demonstrations and cultural information will be available for the beginner and expert grower alike.”

The event begins at noon and ends at 8 p.m. on Friday, with Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m., and Sunday starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m.

Tickets cost $10 each, with children under 12 getting in for free. Tickets are available at the door.
