Leduc RCMP investigating threats made at public park

Police in Leduc are investigating threats that were uttered at Fred Johns Park earlier this month.

On the evening of April 10 an unknown man allegedly approached tow people in a vehicle in an aggressive manor. This man allegedly tried to break into the vehicle while threatening one of the occupants.

The people in the vehicle left the park before reporting the incident to police, mentioning that they had not seen the unknown man with a weapon.

The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall with a slim build, short dark hair, and dark eyes. The man also had a goatee, wearing a tan shirt and dark blue jeans.

The suspect had been seen driving a grey Chevrolet or GMC extended cab pickup truck, with police believing that the suspect may have had contact with a woman in a white Mercedes SUV at the park.

Police are looking for any information related to the incident while asking the woman in the Mercedes to come forward.

Anyone with information can reach Leduc RCMP at 780-980-7267.
