Man taken to hospital by STARS after crash south of Edmonton

A man suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash over the weekend.

According to emergency crews, a pickup truck carrying a large trailer full of farm equipment was driving northbound on Range Road 262 towards Highway 13.

As the driver approached the intersection, they were unable to stop and ended up sliding into it. In the meantime, a vehicle heading eastbound down the highway ended up crashing into the trailer.

The man behind the eastbound vehicle was taken to an Edmonton hospital by STARS Air Ambulance, while the driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
